Bob Uecker has seen plenty of players work themselves out of jams, but the Milwaukee Brewers’ radio announcer found himself in quite the pickle Wednesday.

Uecker was delivering his magic as usual in Milwaukee’s game against the Los Angeles Dodgers at Miller Park when disaster struck in the sixth inning. According to those on the scene, the handle on the door to the Brewers’ radio booth in the press box fell off, locking Uecker and several others inside.

Since it’s probably not a good idea to have an iconic announcer trapped in your own press box, the Brewers got on the case right away.

That was a close one.

Inspired by Uecker and Co.’s harrowing escape, the Brewers went on to win 6-3.
