FOXBORO, Mass. — The New England Patriots were back to business as usual Wednesday, when they introduced 2015 first-round draft pick Malcom Brown.

The annual presentation of the No. 1 jersey was pushed back this season because of Deflategate. With organized team activities ongoing and minicamp on the horizon, however, it’s back to football, not footballs, for the Patriots.

Patriots owner Robert Kraft and president Jonathan Kraft were on hand for the introduction. Check out what Robert Kraft had to say before Brown fielded questions from the media:

“Nice to see you all. I think back that this is a tradition we’ve been doing for 21 years. This is our privilege of introducing to you all our 22nd first-rounder.

“I think back to 21 years ago with Willie McGinest, and we had the privilege yesterday of announcing that he’ll be inducted into the Patriots Hall of Fame. It got me thinking, I hope I’m around 21 years from now and having the same privilege of introducing you, Malcom.

“We like the name Malcom. We have a pretty good history with that name over the recent past (Malcolm Butler), and the name Brown has been pretty good too: one of our best longterm players (Troy Brown).

“And we’re thinking of D-linemen who have come here married with children, and that’s been a pretty good history, as well, with Ty Warren and Vince Wilfork. So, we hope Malcom continues in this tradition, and it’s our great honor of having him here today and welcome all of you.”
