patsIn case it wasn’t already obvious, Boston has been officially crowned the most successful sports city.

Bostonians have been saying that for years, but they now have some solid proof thanks to “The Upshot,” an analytical blog in The New York Times. The study took into account how often a city’s teams have made the semifinals and the number of championships they have won since 1965.

Boston sports teams have won championships in an absurd 10 percent of the total seasons they’ve played in during that span, with each team taking home at least one trophy since 2008.
