The Washington Nationals and Los Angeles Dodgers were forced to suspend Friday night’s game, and if you ask Max Scherzer, it’s all Taylor Swift’s fault.

Nationals Park experienced three separate power outages to its stadium lights throughout the night, causing two separate delays that totaled more than two hours. After the third delay at the beginning of the sixth inning, the two teams couldn’t shake it off any longer and agreed to suspend the game and resume play Saturday.

So what caused the annoying outages? Scherzer had a theory, and he was rather fearless about expressing it.

Swift did indeed play two concerts at the stadium during the All-Star break as part of her “1989” tour, so Scherzer might not be wrong. (We knew she was trouble when she walked in the park.)

Scherzer wasn’t the only one seeing red, though, as Dodgers outfielder Joc Pederson took things one step further by directly mentioning the pop star in his own tweet.

It’d be easy join the chorus and pin this one on Taylor, but the Nationals decided against being mean, apologizing to their fans in a statement Saturday morning.

The Dodgers and Nationals will begin again at 2:05 p.m. ET on Saturday with Washington leading 3-2, and for Swift’s sake, let’s hope no lights are needed.
