A potentially dangerous situation turned into a video for the ages.

Texas Rangers first baseman Mike Napoli was up at bat Wednesday when a pitch bounced short of the plate. Now, this single act isn’t out of the ordinary, but what happened after has us scratching our heads.

The ball bounced up and off Napoli’s ankle, and then somehow knocked off his helmet. It’s a moment you need to see to believe.

Thankfully, Napoli appeared to be OK and remained in the game. He put an end to any doubts when he hit his 200th career home run later in the Rangers’ 7-2 win over the Seattle Mariners.
