Dion Lewis Among Patriots’ Inactives For Week 7 Showdown With Jets

Dion Lewis’ breakout season with the New England Patriots has hit a speed bump.

Lewis is inactive for Sunday’s game against the New York Jets at Gillette Stadium. The running back has been dealing with an abdominal injury.

The Patriots will have just two running backs — LeGarrette Blount and James White — active for their Week 7 AFC East showdown, as Brandon Bolden also is inactive for New England. Blount already was a viable fantasy football option, and White now enters the discussion with Lewis sidelined.

The Pats will receive a boost on defense, however. Linebacker Dont’a Hightower will return to action after missing last week’s game against the Indianapolis Colts with a rib injury.

The inactives for both the Patriots and Jets are below.
