The Philadelphia Eagles will look to get back into the divisional race in the underachieving NFC East when they play host to the New Orleans Saints on Sunday as 5 1/2-point betting favorites at sportsbooks monitored by OddsShark.com.

The Eagles opened the season with strong +425 odds to emerge as NFC champions, but they have stumbled to a 1-3 start and have seen those NFL futures tumble to +2000.

The Saints are coming off their first win of the season, doing the Eagles a favor with a 26-20 overtime victory over the Dallas Cowboys last weekend and earning their second consecutive win against the spread.

New Orleans is winless on the road this season (1-1 ATS) entering Sunday’s Saints vs. Eagles betting matchup at Lincoln Financial Field but is 5-1 SU and 4-2 ATS in its last six against Philly.

The Cowboys will have their hands full when they play host to the well-rested New England Patriots as 7 1/2-point home underdogs.

Dallas will search for an end to its current two-game SU and ATS losing streak but once again will be without its two primary offensive weapons, as quarterback Tony Romo and wide receiver Dez Bryant remain sidelined with injuries.

The Patriots, led by quarterback Tom Brady, have averaged 446.3 yards of total offense over their first three games and have held Dallas to fewer than 10 points per game in four consecutive SU wins (3-1 ATS), according to the OddsShark NFL Database.

The Washington Redskins will look to build on their 2-2 record when they visit the undefeated Atlanta Falcons as 7-point underdogs.

Powered by a 290-yard, one-touchdown performance by quarterback Kirk Cousins, the Redskins shocked the Eagles last weekend with a 23-20 victory as 3-point underdogs. It was their second upset victory of the season and third in their last six outings.

However, they will face a high-powered Falcons offense that is a perfect 4-0 SU and ATS this season. Atlanta also has dominated Washington with SU wins in five of its last six meetings (4-2 ATS).

In other Week 5 NFL betting action this weekend, the New York Giants are favored by seven points in their “Sunday Night Football” matchup with the San Francisco 49ers.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers will look to bounce back from a demoralizing 37-23 loss to the Carolina Panthers as they host the Jacksonville Jaguars as 3-point chalk. The Buffalo Bills will visit the Tennessee Titans, also as 3-point favorites, and the Baltimore Ravens will entertain the Cleveland Browns as 6-point favorites.
