Tulsa Receiver’s Second Hail Mary TD Of Season Is A Tip-Drill Lesson (Videos)

Lightning doesn’t strike twice, but Keyarris Garrett and the Tulsa Golden Hurricane evidently do.

With time winding down in the first half of Friday night’s game, Tulsa quarterback Dane Evans miraculously slipped a Memphis sack attempt, looked down the field and heaved a pass toward Garrett. That’s when this happened.

If Garrett’s grab looks familiar, that’s because the 6-foot-4 senior did the same thing to end the first half of last month’s game against Oklahoma.

As great as both of Garrett’s catches were, they came with Tulsa facing deficits against nationally ranked teams, and Tulsa went on to lose Friday night’s contest 66-42.

The Golden Hurricane are struggling under first-year coach Philip Montgomery, who had been Baylor’s offensive coordinator before landing the job.
