A pair of football boots designed for the final matches of Steven Gerrard’s incredible 710-game Liverpool career have sold for £40,200 on eBay.
The signed, limited-edition Predators were donated by The Anfield Wrap to help raise money for the British Red Cross Europe Refugee Appeal.
There were a total of 185 bids for the footwear ahead of Sunday’s 18.00 GMT deadline.
The red and white boots have YNWA across the heel, bear Gerrard’s No.8 and has a farewell message inscribed inside, reading: “You leave a legend, you’ll return a hero. The city of Liverpool is always with you. You’ll never walk alone.”
