Broncos’ Derek Wolfe Hates Everything About Patriots: ‘They’re Always In My Way’

Denver Broncos defensive end Derek Wolfe isn’t shy about his dislike for the New England Patriots. In fact, he was rooting for the Indianapolis Colts in last year’s AFC Championship Game, even though Indy knocked Denver out of the playoffs the prior week.

But this year, Wolfe will get his own crack at Tom Brady and the Patriots for a chance to play in the Super Bowl. And he once again is telling the world how he feels about the Patriots.

“I hate everything about them,” Wolfe told The Denver Post on Friday. “They’re always in my way. They’re always in my way to get what I want.

“I’ve got a ton of respect for the whole organization. They’ve got great players — Tom Brady’s a great player. Bill Belichick’s a great coach. I’ve got a ton of respect for them. I just hate them.”

Wolfe’s comments are the latest in a week filled with plenty of trash-talking leading up to Sunday’s game at Sports Authority Field at Mile High. Broncos players have called Brady a “whiner” and a “crybaby,” and defensive back Chris Harris Jr. said the best way to defend Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski is by hitting him at the knees. That doesn’t even include some of the comments being said off the field by analysts like Danny Kanell.

Is it Sunday yet? This should be one heck of a game.
