Go ahead and keep the lights on at the Blake Griffin trade rumors motel if you’d like. Doc Rivers won’t be arriving any time soon, though.

The Los Angeles Clippers coach and president of basketball operations made things abundantly clear Tuesday when he met with the media, addressing questions regarding whether the team plans to move the All-Star forward.

Asked if the rumors are affecting his team, the coach verbally shrugged off any notions.

Of course, that doesn’t definitely mean Griffin won’t get traded — it’s not like Rivers would come and say he was negotiating a move with a team if he actually was — but it’s safe to call it an indicator that Griffin remains in L.A. after Thursday’s NBA trade deadline.
