Holly Holm isn’t interested in disappearing from prominence despite losing her UFC women’s bantamweight title to Miesha Tate at UFC 196.

Holm used Instagram on Tuesday to challenge Tate, respectfully, to a rematch. The deposed champion targeted a July 9 bout with Tate at UFC 200.

Tate hasn’t responded to Holm’s challenge. She’s probably still reveling in her UFC 196 victory and her newly earned status as combat sports’ woman of the moment.

Many hoped Ronda Rousey would return to the octagon in time to fight at UFC 200, but that date could come too soon for a third bout between her and Tate.

The timing of UFC 200 could create an opening for Holm to face Tate again. UFC would be lucky if it produced another gripping battle to rival the fighters’ first encounter.
