The North Carolina Tar Heels are among the biggest favorites to win the national championship this season, but they’ll have to get through the artists formerly known as “Dunk City” on Thursday first.
No. 1 seed UNC faces the No. 16 seed Florida Gulf Coast Eagles in the first round of the NCAA Tournament. The Eagles played their way into the Round of 64 with a First Four victory over Fairleigh Dickinson on Tuesday, but the Atlantic Sun Conference champions earning a date with Brice Johnson and the ACC regular season and conference tourney champs isn’t much of a consolation prize.
