Club America is poised to return to familiar territory, but Santos Laguna can disrupt the Eagles’ plans.
The teams face off Tuesday in the second leg of their semifinal series in the CONCACAF Champions League. They played to a goal-less draw on March 16, and that results only will increase the importance of any goal scored in the decisive leg.
Club America defeated Santos Laguna 2-0 on Feb. 6 in Liga MX (Mexican first division), but the stakes for Tuesday’s games are higher, as is the pressure.
