Awesome 92-Year-Old Veteran Throws Out Electric First Pitch At Mariners Game

You’d be hard-pressed to find anyone, at any age, with more pep than Burke Waldron.

The thing about Waldron, however, is that he’s a 92-year-old Navy veteran who looks to have more energy and zest for life than most 29-year-olds.

Waldron was honored Monday in Seattle prior to the Mariners’ Memorial Day game against the San Diego Padres. The 92-year-old was asked to throw out the ceremonial first pitch, an honor he apparently jumped at. Probably quite literally.

After being introduced to the crowd, the World War II veteran dashed onto the field, ran to the top of the pitcher’s mound and limbered up by waving to an adoring crowd before throwing a strike.

Thank you, Burke, not only for your service to our country. But also for just being the man.
