Lacrosse, like many contact sports, can be brutal on the body. Just ask Josh Hawkins of the Boston Cannons. He’s been playing since he was in the fourth grade.

In the report above, Hawkins tells NESN.com’s Michaela Vernava about the groundbreaking steps Major League Lacrosse is taking, in partnership with the Concussion Legacy Foundation, to protect its athletes from the serious impact of head injuries.
