Week 8 of the NFL season is a tricky one for fantasy football owners because it’s one of two weeks with six teams on a bye.

This creates plenty of problems for owners with multiple players who need to be replaced at an important time of the fantasy season.

Here are the best waiver-wire pickups to target entering Week 8.

Quarterback: Brock Osweiler, Houston Texans
There are so many good quarterbacks on a bye this week, so it makes sense to give Osweiler a chance as a fill-in. He has a very favorable matchup against a Detroit Lions defense allowing the second-most yards per pass attempt (8.2) and tied for the most passing touchdowns allowed (18).

Other quarterbacks to pursue: Alex Smith (KC)

Running Back: Jacquizz Rodgers, Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Rodgers has back-to-back 100-yard games, including a stellar Week 7 performance with 154 yards on 26 carries in a win over the San Francisco 49ers. He’s the No. 1 running back for Tampa Bay while Doug Martin is injured and should be started in all types of leagues.

Other running backs to pursue: James White (NE), Mike Gillislee (BUF), Knile Davis (GB), Chris Thompson (WSH), Ka’Deem Carey (CHI)

Wide Receiver: Davante Adams, Green Bay Packers
There’s probably a good chance someone in your league recently dropped Adams after being frustrated with his disappointing start to the season. Well, it’s time to pick him back up after a strong Week 7 performance. Adams had season highs in receptions (13), targets (16), receiving yards (132) and touchdowns (two) in Green Bay’s win over the Chicago Bears.

Other wide receivers to target: Chris Hogan (NE), Brandon LaFell (CIN), Anquan Boldin (DET), Marqise Lee (JAC)

Tight End: Jack Doyle, Indianapolis Colts
Doyle has emerged as a go-to target for Colts quarterback Andrew Luck, and he set season highs in receptions (nine), targets (10) and receiving yards (78) in Week 7. Doyle also has scored a touchdown in back-to-back weeks.

Other tight ends to pursue: Vernon Davis (WSH)
