Theo Epstein and Bill Murray both answered questions from the media in the early hours of Thursday morning after the Chicago Cubs defeated the Cleveland Indians in Game 7 of the World Series, but one of their finer interviews occurred when they were together in front of the camera.
Murray interviewed Epstein in the visitors’ clubhouse at Progressive Field as the Cubs celebrated their first World Series title since 1908. Epstein kicked off the exchange by spraying the actor directly in the face with Champagne.
Murray, a huge Cubs fan, has stood by his favorite team every step of the way. He now can celebrate in large because of the phenomenal work Epstein has done as Chicago’s president of baseball operations.
