Paige VanZant has her doubters, but anyone who watched her last fight knows not to take her lightly.

VanZant will take on Michelle Waterson in a five-round, women’s strawweight bout Saturday night in the UFC Fight Night Sacramento main event. The 22-year-old enters the fight with a 7-2 record, with perhaps her most impressive victory coming the last time she entered the octagon.

In an Aug. 27 strawweight bout against Bec Rawlings, VanZant needed all of 17 seconds before knocking out her opponent with one of the most impressive kicks you’ll see.

The KO earned VanZant “Performance of the Night” and helped elevate her to a No. 10 ranking in the women’s strawweight division. Making her victory even more impressive was the fact that it was her first fight since December 2015, as she took a break in early 2016 to compete on “Dancing With the Stars.”

VanZant’s opponent Saturday, Waterson, is no slouch, entering with a 13-4 record. But she might need to do some dancing to avoid the same fate Rawlings met in August.
