Another day, another signing for the Montreal Canadiens.

This time, Bob Gainey & Co. have locked up Matt D'Agostini, awarding the forward a one-year contracy. The financial terms of the contract were not disclosed, per team policy.

In 53 games with the Canadiens in 2008-09, the 22-year-old registered 12 goals and nine assists in about 13 minutes of ice time per game. During his time with the Hamilton Bulldogs last season, he was the AHL's third-leading scorer, racking up 25 points and a plus-7 rating. He was recalled by the Canadiens in November.

D'Agostini  has been with the organization since the Canadiens selected him in the sixth round of the 2005 draft.
