Tiger Woods Wins PGA Tour Player of the Year PONTE VEDRA BEACH, Fla. — Tiger Woods has won the PGA Tour player of the year award in a vote by the players, the 10th time in his career he has won the award.

Woods' season started and finished the same way — with questions when he would play. He was coming off knee surgery at the beginning of the year, and last week announced an indefinite leave to work on his marriage after admitting to infidelity.

In between, Woods won six PGA Tour events, captured the FedEx Cup, won the money title and had the lowest scoring average. The PGA Tour does not disclose vote totals.

Mark Leishman
of Australia was voted rookie of the year.
