Brett Favre Discusses 2010 Season for First Time With Jay Leno on The Tonight Show Two guys who aren't very good at retiring had a discussion on Thursday night about retirement.

The pair was Brett Favre and Jay Leno, and by the end of the talk, the quarterback revealed that he … doesn't know if he'll play next year.

"Well, Jay, it's only been a month," Favre said, "and I know now that I'm just not going to say anything any time soon. I'm just going to kind of sit back, relax and enjoy the offseason."

Leno took a crack at himself by offering Favre a gold watch as a retirement gift.

"This was given to me last May by NBC. I can't use it," Leno said, referring to when he gave up his spot as host of The Tonight Show, a retirement that lasted less than a year.

"Thank you, but I haven't made a decision yet," the 40-year-old Favre responded. "I'll take the watch."

Favre is coming off one of the best seasons of his long career. He posted a career-high in completion percentage at 68.4 percent, threw for the third-most yards (4,202), fourth-most touchdowns (33) in a season and a career-low in interceptions with seven.

Favre touched on a variety of topics, admitting he was in Los Angeles to take his 10-year-old daughter Brittany to a Hannah Montana concert — "I have to admit, I do know a few of the songs," he said. Favre also said he enjoyed his time playing in New York, though he didn't spend any time in Times Square.

Favre added that he only watched the fourth quarter of the Super Bowl, and didn't see his commercial, which poked fun at his unwillingness to walk away from football.

"I got a lot of text messages from people that said, 'Hey, great job!' And I was like, 'I'm not in the game,'" he said.

The video can be seen on NBC's Web site.
