Ruling on Banned Ping-Eye 2 Wedge Strikes Fear Into 'Cheating' Phil Mickelson “Lefty” has been battling many problems since arriving on the Tour: thick roughs, steep bunkers and Tiger Woods, to name a few.

But this summer, Phil Mickelson is facing more adversity as he is no longer allowed to play with his Ping-Eye 2 Wedge because of its square-shaped grooves.

Tour veteran Scott McCarron was “appalled” and accused Mickelson of “cheating” earlier this year for using wedges that are allowed under a legal technicality.

So how will Lefty react to the recent ruling that states the wedges are no longer to be allowed on the PGA Tour starting March 29? Judging by this photo, terrified.

This reader thinks there’s trouble ahead for the Penguins’ one-two punch after Sunday’s cheap hit on Marc Savard.

“All 4 ref’s should be suspendend, Cooke should be suspended indefinitely and it’s eye for an eye. Crosby &/or Malkin should be taken out….Oh Thorny!!!!. Time for the Big Bad Bruins that we know, to show the the Pens just how we became the Big, Bad, Bruins!!!”
