OK, Red Sox Nation, it’s been a while. Still mad?

Chances are, if ditching Boston in favor of the Yankees is enough to be written off for life, you’ll never forgive him. Yet the fact remains that it’s been a while, and Johnny Damon no longer wears pinstripes. So, as Derek in Tyngsborough, Mass., asks, how do you feel about him now?

There are plenty who will say “once a traitor, always a traitor,” and the majority of the response on NESN.com’s Fan Forum has shown that. Yet there seem to be plenty more fans who now simply see Damon’s decision as one made with the best interests of him and his family in mind.

So where do you stand?

Text “SOX1” to 542542 if you think he’s still a traitor, text “SOX2” to 542542 if you think all is forgiven, or text “SOX3” to 542542 if you think it’s been so long that you don’t even care about Damon anymore.

As of 10:20 p.m. on Friday night, 71 percent of voters still believe he’s a traitor while 14 percent feel he should be forgiven and another 14 percent don’t care.
