The Celtics may have re-signed Ray Allen, one of the greatest 3-point shooters in NBA history, to a two-year extension on July 8.
But hey, a team can never have enough sharpshooters.
According to ESPN.com, the Philadelphia 76ers are open to the possibility of moving two-time 3-point shootout winner Jason Kapono in a trade.
Kapono averaged 5.7 points in 57 games for the Sixers last season and is due to make $6.6 million in the 2010-11 campaign.
He could be a perfect fit for the Celtics, who lost reserve shooting guard Tony Allen to the Memphis Grizzlies via free agency.
And while the cost for Kapono is a little steep financially, the C’s probably wouldn’t have to give up much in terms of talent if they were willing to take on his contract.
