"The Spaceman" is about to blast off again into professional baseball.

Former Red Sox pitcher Bill Lee is making a return to baseball and he's going to be doing it with the Brockton Rox of the Can-Am League.

The 63-year-old will make a start for the Rox on Sept. 5 against the Worcester Tornadoes.

"Having Bill join us will be a great way to cap off our regular season," said team president Chris Carminucci in a statement on the team's website. "He can still get hitters out and having a New England baseball legend in the house should make it a great Sunday afternoon for Rox fans."
