At long last, Jacoby Ellsbury will play once again for the Boston Red Sox.

Manager Terry Francona announced the news after Tuesday's 3-1 win over the Indians. He did not say what the corresponding roster move would be.

Ellsbury went 3-for-5 for Pawtucket on Tuesday afternoon, and he went 2-for-5 on Sunday. He didn't steal any bases, but Francona said that wasn't due to any health issues.

Ellsbury's been limited to just nine games this season after suffering broken ribs in an April collision with third baseman Adrian Beltre. He came back for three games in May but reinjured the ribs, keeping him off the field for the entire months of June and July. He hasn't faced Wednesday's starter and former teammate, Justin Masterson.
