Adrian Beltre’s Wrist a Non-Issue as Red Sox Finish Up Season

Adrian Beltre's Wrist a Non-Issue as Red Sox Finish Up Season The year of the injury has finally neared its end, as the Red Sox have just 11 games to go in 2010.

After a summer of devastating setbacks, it appears that the Sox infirmary has quieted somewhat.

Adrian Beltre's wrist sprain kept him out of Sunday's game only, and the team has remained healthy of late otherwise.

Marco Scutaro continues to play with a hurt rotator cuff, and he will finish out the season that way. Mike Lowell is likewise playing injured, but with his great career coming to an end in just a few weeks, he could care less about the pain.

Felix Doubront, the Red Sox Minor League Pitcher of the Year, has not appeared since Aug. 31 and may be done for the year. All of the other many Red Sox prospects seeing time in the big leagues are healthy, though.

Kevin Youkilis, Dustin Pedroia, Jacoby Ellsbury and Mike Cameron, of course, are all out for the season — casting a litany of "what-ifs" upon the 2010 season.
