For the past decade, the Dropkick Murphys have given Boston some of the city’s best original music. On Tuesday, they will literally be giving it away for free.

The band will give away 10,000 copies of the its new music video in Fenway, Kenmore Square and the Longwood Medical area in support of a union drive at Boston hospitals prior to the Red Sox' game against the Orioles.

The video for the song "Tomorrow’s Industry" was created through a unique collaboration with Boston hospital workers as part of their campaign to join Local 1199 of the Service Employees International Union for a voice at work.

The band will make history as the first national recording artists in the United States to ever adopt a labor organizing cause as the main theme of a rock music video.

"This was a fun way to get the message out about a serious issue," Bill Timmons, an area hospital worker featured in the video, said in an official release. "It shows Dropkick Murphys are a band that’s true to their roots. It shows they’re willing to stand up for the working families of their city. And many of those families have at least one person doing a job in healthcare where they're underpaid and barely able to scrape by."

The band will celebrate after the giveaway with a party at McGreevey's Irish Pub and Sports Bar, and the music video will be available on www.DropkickMurphys.com and www.Join1199SEIU.org on Tuesday night.
