The Red Sox will feature seven right-handed hitters against Toronto Blue Jays lefty Brett Cecil in the opener of a weekend series at Fenway Park on Friday night.

David Ortiz and Ryan Kalish — batting fifth and ninth, respectively — are the only left-handed hitters against Cecil, who has held lefties to a .218 average this year.

Among the right-handers in the lineup for Boston is Mike Lowell. The 36-year-old first baseman had missed all of the Sox' series in Seattle and has played in just three of the team's previous nine games. He has been bothered by a rib injury and is hitless in his last 17 at-bats.

J.D. Drew will miss his fourth straight game since hurting his right ankle in Oakland. Darnell McDonald is in right field for the 24th time and will bat second.

With John Lackey on the mound, here is the complete Boston lineup:

Marco Scutaro, 2B
Darnell McDonald, RF
Victor Martinez, C
Adrian Beltre, 3B
David Ortiz, DH
Mike Lowell, 1B
Jed Lowrie, SS
Bill Hall, LF
Ryan Kalish, CF
