The cast of the 12th season has yet to be revealed, but Steelers wide receiver Hines Ward is reportedly one of the 12 competitors on board.
According to terezowens.com, Ward will become the 10th football player to test out his moves on the dance floor. With his quick feet, Ward should have no trouble keeping up with his professional dance partner.
Other NFL stars who have previously danced on prime time include Warren Sapp, Jason Taylor, Emmitt Smith, Jerry Rice, Lawrence Taylor, Michael Irvin, Chad Ochocinco and Kurt Warner.
Professional athletes have become a popular contestant for the award-winning reality show, and have been quite successful in the competition. Over the past 11 seasons, five athletes (Shawn Johnson, Helio Castroneves, Kristi Yamaguchi, Apolo Anton Ohno, and Emmit Smith) have won the coveted disco ball trophy.
The official announcement of all 12 contestants will be made during The Bachelor on ABC on Monday night at 8 p.m.
