BC Wins Hockey East Regular-Season Crown, Will Be Top Seed in Upcoming Conference Tournament

This weekend saw the end of regular season play for Hockey East teams.

Boston College came out on top, winning the Hockey East regular-season championship with a 4-3 victory over New Hampshire Saturday.  BC will hold the top seed throughout the playoffs, which begin Friday when they will host University of Massachusetts Minutemen.

Northeastern came out with a third period 4-3 win over Boston University’s Terriers Saturday.  The two will meet again in the upcoming weekend in the Hockey East playoffs, hosted by third-seeded BU at Agganis Arena.

Vermont took seventh place seed after Saturday’s 4-2 win over University of Massachusetts Lowell.  They will face second-seeded New Hampshire next week.

After securing the fourth seed and home ice in the Hockey East playoffs on Friday, Merrimack Warriors will host Maine in the quarterfinals.
