Carl Crawford Dropped From Sixth to Seventh in Lineup Against Andy Oliver Despite remarkable success while batting sixth over the last three days, Carl Crawford will be dropped to seventh in the order when the Red Sox take on the Detroit Tigers on Saturday night.

Crawford went 9-for-12 with two homers, two triples, two doubles and seven RBIs in the No. 6 hole from Wednesday through Friday. However, left-hander Andy Oliver is on the mound for Detroit. Crawford is batting just .115 (7-for-61) against southpaws this season.

On the other end of that coin is Jed Lowrie, who will bat sixth. Lowrie is hitting .434 (23-for-53) against lefties, third in all of baseball among qualified players. He will be sandwiched between David Ortiz and Crawford.

Mike Cameron gets the start in right field. Josh Reddick had played the previous two games out there as the club awaits the return of J.D. Drew, who has been bothered by a hamstring strain.

With Clay Buchholz on the mound, here is the complete batting order for Boston:

Jacoby Ellsbury, CF
Dustin Pedroia, 2B
Adrian Gonzalez, 1B
Kevin Youkilis, 3B
David Ortiz, DH
Jed Lowrie, SS
Carl Crawford, LF
Mike Cameron, RF
Jarrod Saltalamacchia, C
