Jack Edwards Can’t Pick Winner in ‘Epic’ Bruins-Lightning Series, Agrees With NHL’s Decision on Nathan Horton

It's probably safe to assume which team NESN's Jack Edwards will be rooting for on Friday night in Game 7 between the Bruins and Lightning, but he's not ready to commit to a winner.

Edwards was a guest on Puck Daddy Radio on Friday, and he talked about the winner-take-all showdown, saying that game-winning goal will come on an "effort goal."

Not surprisingly, Edwards thinks that the NHL made the right call when the league decided not to discipline Nathan Horton for his role in a little Game 6 postgame skirmish with a Lightning fan.

"I think the security situation was completely out of hand in Tampa Bay," Edwards said.

However, he quickly explained that that's not a reflection of the type of hockey city that Tampa is, rather that the incident in which fans threw debris on the ice was more a result of a few bad fans.

"That's a really good hockey town," he said. "I would hate for about 20 guys with bad attitudes and great aim to really screw it up for all of them. …That's a reflection of a bunch of idiots who jumped on the bandwagon."

You can hear the entire interview with Jack Edwards below at the 24:00 mark of the audio clip.
