Tim Thomas Adding To Top 10 List of Best Career Saves in 2011 Stanley Cup Playoffs

17,565 fans at TD Garden thought Steve Downie had Tim Thomas beat for the tying goal in Game 5 of the Eastern Conference final.

In his unorthodox, unique fashion, however, Thomas stuck out his goalie paddle and made the save to preserve the lead for the Bruins.


In Game 1 of the Stanley Cup Final, Thomas again made some incredible saves to keep the Canucks off the score sheet for 59 minutes and 42 seconds.

There is no doubt that Thomas has been an instrumental aspect of this incredible playoff run for the Bruins. In a defensive system, a good goalie between the pipes is essential. Thomas has been great.
