Much like John Havlicek did 22 years earlier against the Philadelphia 76ers, Larry Bird used his instincts to steal victory away from the Detroit Pistons in Game 5 of the 1987 Eastern Conference Finals. Larry Legend's steal and subsequent assist to Dennis Johnson sent the Boston Garden crowd into a state of hysteria en route to helping the C's reach the NBA Finals.
