The Yankees opened the gates on Friday night as rain hammered the Bronx. There were also whispers of a "window" moving through the Tri-State area at some point to get the game in. Alas, the rain was too much and Friday night's Red Sox-Yankees game was rained out.

The game will now be rescheduled as part of a doubleheader on Sunday. The two games will be played a 1 p.m. and 6:30 p.m., respectively. Both games will be aired on NESN.

The pitching matchups have yet to be determined.
