It was a tumultuous day for the Red Sox on Friday, as it was the end of the era. The Sox announced that they and manager Terry Francona are going in different directions, ending the skipper's eight-year tenure in Boston.
Francona will meet with the media at 7 p.m. tonight from Fenway Park, and then general manager Theo Epstein and Red Sox ownership will do the same at 8:15 p.m. Be sure to tune in to NESN for coverage of both news conferences.
