Tim Wallach's name was just added as another possible replacement for Terry Francona as Boston's manager.

The Boston Herald reports that the former Expos, Dodgers and Angels infielder is "being considered for an interview" in the Red Sox' ongoing search for a new manager.

The 54-year-old spent this season as the third base coach under Don Mattingly with the Dodgers. Wallach also served as the Dodgers' hitting coach in past seasons.

He has no major-league managerial experience, but Wallach did serve as the Dodgers' Triple-A manager when he skippered the Albuquerque Isotopes in 2009. Wallach was named the Pacific Coast League manager of the year that season for the Isotopes. He was also named the best managing prospect in the Pacific Coast League by Baseball America in 2009.

Wallach would join a growing list of reported names including Brewers hitting coach Dale Sveum, Phillies bench coach Pete Mackanin, Rays bench coach Dave Martinez and Indians bench coach Sandy Alomar Jr. who could all be up for the job.
