Mike McQueary may not be on the Penn State sideline on Saturday. He may not even be in the press box, either. In fact, he may be out of a job pretty soon.

The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports that Penn State trustees had a private meeting Thursday to discuss McQueary's future at Penn State. The assistant coach has come under fire for his alleged role in the Jerry Sandusky case. According to the grand jury findings, it was McQueary who saw Sandusky sexually abuse a child in a Penn State locker room. Instead of telling the authorities, McQueary, then just a graduate assistant, only told now ex-head coach Joe Paterno.

According to the Post-Gazette, acting university president Rod Erickson told reporters to "stay tuned" when he was asked about McQueary's future. The trustees and the university could take action either Thursday night or Friday morning, Erickson said.

Reports have already begun to surface indicating that the board of trustees didn't want McQueary on the field for Saturday's game against Nebraska. The board was hoping that McQueary would work from the press box on Saturday to ensure his safety and to try and limit distractions.
