Report: Shaquille O'Neal to Wrestle Against The Big Show in WrestleMania XXVIIIShaq is heading back into the ring.

After a short “retirement,” Shaquille O’Neal is reportedly in talks with the WWE to appear at WrestleMania 28 to take on The Big Show.

O’Neal has reportedly announced on the radio that he will be at WrestleMania 28 in April to follow up on a guest host appearance on RAW in 2009.

“This would mark The Big Show’s second WrestleMania match against a sports celebrity,” the report notes. “Show wrestled boxing great Floyd Mayweather, Jr. at WrestleMania 24 in a match that was a lot better than most people expected it to be.”

That might be a pretty low bar, but Shaq seems to have the sports and entertainment chops to make a blockbuster wrestling match work.

The report also goes on to warn that the WWE is not happy that this news has leaked and may reconsider, since the whole point of Shaq showing up was that it would be a surprise. But either way, with Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson already set to wrestle John Cena in Miami, it sounds like a big time brewing no matter what.
