Kevin Youkilis Scratched From Red Sox Lineup With Back Stiffness, Nate Spears to Fill in Against Blue Jays

We knew Daniel Bard would be toeing the rubber for the Sox on Sunday as they travel to Dunedin to take on the Blue Jays. And now we know who will be trying to supply the right-hander with runs.

Mike Aviles will once again be plugged in at shortstop, while the hot-hitting Darnell McDonald will serve as Boston's cleanup hitter.

One name not in the lineup is Kevin Youkilis. He was originally penciled in, but he's a late scratch due to lower-back stiffness. The third baseman was held back in Fort Myers for treatment, and Nate Spears will get the nod down at the hot corner in his place.
