Which MLB Ballpark Has the Coolest Water Feature?Hitters have been trying to get baseballs waterlogged for years in Kansas City.

Kauffman Stadium, in its 40th season, has long been known for its outfield fountains. Renovated in 2009, Royals fans are now able to sit amongst the outfield fountains — or dive in them as one fan recently did.

But Kauffman isn’t alone when it comes to major league water features. In San Fransisco, you’ll find packs of kayakers in “McCovey Cove” (officially called China Basin) beyond the right field wall, hoping to snare a long tater. In Tampa Bay, fans can check out the touch tank where real-life Rays swim around in a shallow tank. Many say it’s a safer option for fans who were hoping to poke other Rays, such as pitcher David Price.

Comerica Park, which opened in 2000, copied Kauffman and added a nice fountain of its own in center field. The Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim built an amazing structure beyond the centerfield wall, which they dub the “California spectacular.”

If there’s one ballpark that went the extra mile when it comes to water features, its the Diamondbacks’ digs, now referred to as Chase Field. Just over the outfield wall lays a pool and hot tob, where fans can soak in the scenes — literally. The Miami Marlins, however, wanted to make a statement with their brand-new ballpark and actually added in an aquarium along the backstop wall, complete with live fish.
