As sports gaffes go, reporting that the wrong team won is not that unusual. Sometimes people just get mixed up, or they prepare ads and announcements for both teams but then pick the wrong one in the rush after the game ends.

At least they’re not reporting an NBA Eastern Conference Finals game ended in a tie.

But the NBA on ESPN’s Facebook page certainly had egg on its face Tuesday night after posting a photo that showed Heat stars Dwyane Wade and LeBron James in front of a banner reading “1 win from the finals.”

The photo was quickly taken down, but not before it hit the Twittersphere.
