Who says Bryce Harper has an ego?

The Washington Nationals phenom has only had a driver’s license for three years. By that time most teenagers are lucky enough to scrape together enough cash to buy themselves a used Toyota Corolla, but when you earn a $9.9 million signing bonus, you can afford to do things like buy yourself a custom Mercedes.

The Washington Post recently put together a photo gallery of Harper’s custom ride and some of the features are pretty impressive — or self-indulgent, however you want to interpret it. Among the unique add-ons are the outfielder’s initials lazer-inscribed on the floor mats, a “BAM 34” decal on the trunk, a Nationals curly “W” logo on the trunk where the Mercedes logo would normally be and, of course, a glowing bat rack in the trunk. You know, just the bare necessities.

“FBI or Secret Service agents might keep their weapons in their trunks. I figure his weapon is his baseball bat, so I put it in the trunk,” said Jim Lewis, owner of Pro Motorsports, who designed the car for Harper.

No word on whether or not the car says “That’s a clown question, bro,” when you honk the horn.
