Report: Red Sox Among Teams Inquiring About Rafael BetancourtThe Red Sox bullpen has been a bright spot amidst the team's up-and-down season, but that's not stopping the club from doing its homework on relievers.

The Sox are among the teams inquiring about Rockies reliever Rafael Betancourt, according to Yahoo! Sports' Jeff Passan. The Rangers, Braves and Blue Jays are reportedly also checking in on the right-hander.

Betancourt is 1-3 with a 2.92 ERA in 38 games out of the Colorado bullpen this season. He is 34-27 with a 3.17 ERA in 581 career appearances.

The 37-year-old was actually signed by the Red Sox as an amateur free agent in 1993, and bounced around the team's minor league system for a few years despite never appearing in a game with the big club in Boston. He's pitched for Cleveland and Colorado in his big league career, with his last three-plus seasons coming with the Rockies.
