TV Sitcom Sweet 16 Pits Colleges From ‘Simpsons,’ ‘Saved By the Bell,’ ‘Fresh Prince’ Against Each Other, Complete With ESPN Pages

homerEver wondered how Springfield University from “The Simpsons” would fare against Illinois Occidental University from “Family Matters” if those fictional schools’ basketball teams met in the NCAA tournament?

Soon, we may find out.

The 2013 TV Sitcom Sweet 16 bracket has now advanced to the Elite Eight after debuting last week on the blog Aaron Likes Popcorn. Schools like the University of Los Angeles (“The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air”) and California University (“Saved By the Bell”) are still alive, while Greendale Community College (“Community”), Copeland College (“Charles in Charge”) and Minnesota State University (“Coach”) failed to make it out of the first round.

In the Elite Eight, the bracket features Photoshopped pages from that look just like the site’s real pages for NCAA tournament games.

We don’t know what type of talent any of the schools have, but with Carlton the Peacock rooting on ULA and Kelly Kapowski cheering for CU, do not be surprised to see an imaginary all-California final.
