Shane Victorino will get a rest on Sunday afternoon in Arlington, Texas, as the Red Sox face off against the Rangers’ No. 1 starter, Yu Darvish.
Mike Carp will be inserted into the lineup for Victorino as Daniel Nava will take his spot in right field and in the two hole. Victorino is 1-for-7 since returning to the field from a back injury.
Pedro Ciriaco will start at third base in place of Will Middlebrooks, who continues to struggle. Middlebrooks is just 4-for-23 in the last seven days with no extra-base hits.
