Adrian Alvarstein was pumped up about his team’s 8-3 victory over the weekend. So pumped, in fact, that he felt like dancing.

Alvarstein is a forward playing for Norwegian second-division team┬áNarvik Hockey. After the final horn sounded on Narvik’s blowout win over Viking Hockey, Alvarstein skated to center ice, threw down his helmet, stick and gloves, and began a minute-long dance routine — set to techno music, of course — that delighted the home crowd.

The charismatic 22-year-old, who has been playing in Norway’s competitive circuit since he was 16, said he has practiced the moves before in the locker room, according to, but was waiting for the right time to unleash them on the public.

After an 8-3 win sounds like as good a time as any.
