The biggest storyline surrounding Sunday’s AFC Championship Game featuring the New England Patriots and Denver Broncos is the battle between two great quarterbacks, Tom Brady and Peyton Manning. But Sunday also marks the 12th anniversary of the “Tuck Rule Game.”
It’s crazy to think that 12 years have passed since Brady’s fumble versus the Oakland Raiders in the teams’ AFC divisional playoff clash was overturned, but that’s exactly the case. A lot has changed since then — like the Patriots’ three Super Bowl victories, for example — but it’s obvious that the 2002 incident significantly altered the course of NFL history.
NESN.com caught up with some of those who closely followed the famous “Tuck Rule Game.” Check out the slideshow above to hear all about how one game changed everything.
